As a teenager, Calvin Johnson was a volunteer for Olympia, WA Radio station KAOS-FM. he then started writing fanzines (Sub/Pop) and played in various Bands, such as Cool Rays, Beat Happening and The Go Team.
In 1982 he found K Records, in 1993 Dub Narcotic Studio.
Calvin Johnsons current projects are The Hive Dwellers and his solo perfomances. he will be visiting Vienna at the mo.e on October 16, 2015

All Your Friend’s Friends is a short film piece (20 mins.) documenting the creation of K Records north west hip hop compilation album by the same name, brought to you by Red Williamson and Newspin Films.
All Your Friend’s Friends [KLP255] is the brainchild of producer Smoke M2D6 and MC EPRHYME, who first came up with the idea to comb through K‘s catalog for samples that would act as the foundation for a collection of brand new tracks featuring MCs from Olympia and around the Northwest.
